About our team

Govinda Kai

Govinda Kai is of Japanese-American descent, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. From a very young age, Govinda took a passionate interest in meditation, yoga and spiritual philosophy.

Govinda has a unique teaching style where he blends the more formal practices and yoga philosophy in a way that touches most of his audience in a transformative way. Every retreat with Govinda is special in its own way but, the main theme is always based on looking within ourselves to gain much better understanding of our working. As we gain greater knowledge of ourselves the world around us also becomes more clear. This clarity helps us to see the world with a new eye where everyone and everything is greatly connected. Govinda is one of a small number of teachers directly certified by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to teach the ashtanga yoga method.

Danny Dobai

Since 2013, Yoga and its related sciences have been an integral part of my life. Along with practicing asana, I put a lot of emphasis on studying scriptures and learning to chant various mantras, slokas, upanishads. I feel that the combination of these ingredients helps me on my path of yoga to a deeper understanding and a broad spectrum of experiences. Real knowledge must be accompanied by experience, otherwise it is just a game of the intellect.

As a teacher, I try to share what I have experienced on my journey so far, hoping that others may be inspired on their own path. In this way, individual practice becomes in fact a collective practice where everyone is unique but still helps each other to form a very strong and valuable community.

Julia Gyulai

If I would like to describe myself in one term, I am a singer-songwriter yogini. I believe that in today's time there is a great need to practice ancient traditions, they are not obsolete, because man has not changed fundamentally through the ages, the mind, the soul, the body functions are the same. The ways of understanding and presentation need to be fine-tuned a bit so that the modern, western-minded person can absorb this wealth of knowledge. That's why I think the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system is a very complex and good style for the modern person, because it starts to work with you through the physical, through the asanas. However, after a few months of practice, the inner change starts to be unstoppable, the opening up, the benefits of flexibility and discipline of the mind are felt. Slowly, the fire within, the thirst for knowledge, the thirst to go deeper, begins to awaken.

One of my missions is to make the practice inclusive, with personalized guidance so that practitioners can apply the teachings in their daily lives, so that yoga is not just something that happens on the mat, but becomes a way of life, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Anett Huck

I'm Anett Huck, a mother, an ashtanga yoga practitioner and instructor, lover of alchemy, let it be a tea, a healing blend, an incense or a complete dinner. I strive to walk the path of yoga with an open heart, and to enrich my being with as many deep and honest experiences as possible. Satya, or sincerity, is my guiding light, my guide in my practice and study. It is through this that I can best connect and through this that I can best support those who come to me, my family and loved ones.
